Our Story

Hello, we are Tim & Krissi the personalities behind Reef Life Texas, together we have over 20 years experience enjoying the aquarium hobby. We began designing unique and humorous swag items specifically catered to the hobby mid 2023 because there was a lack of quality and punny swag to share with reefer friends and fellow coral addicts. As our designs started garnering attention and interest, we decided to share the creations with others, hoping to bring joy and enhance the reef tank hobby experience for fellow enthusiasts.

We started with a simple print on demand provider linked Etsy shop but realized although that is easy for us, the fees and shipping drive the costs way too high for y’all. As our transition to an independent website matures you will see more and more items coming off the print on the demand platform to make it even more affordable for our customers. We have been scaling our operations and acquiring more equipment/inventory to make this possible.

We have have also begun our dream of building a full scale coral farm here in Salado Texas that will consist of over 1200 gallons (with plans to expand) of raceways and grow out tanks, showcasing our designs along side other marine treasures. While waiting for the farm to be complete (estimated completion date of summer 2024), we continue to enjoy our ~500 gallons of reef /frag tanks, the online reefing community, local shows/expos, and local shops, connecting with like-minded individuals and contributing to the reef community any way we can.
